Well, it's been about a month ... time to stop it with the whole "I can slack off over Christmas" mentality and get back into the swing of weekly updates. We're all still fat and full over the New Year's Eve party. Not only did we all go to bed with chocolate stomach aches from all the deserts we had, but we've still got tons of chips & snack food left over (not to mention a bottle of sparkling cider).
     So today I had off from work due to it being Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s Birthday. Maybe it's because I grew up in a predominantly black neighborhood, but it almost seems like the day was largely ignored. The closest thing I saw on today's listings was an hour long documentary on the civil rights movement on PBS. I'm honestly surprised. Heck, even the History channel, which you'd think would hold a monopoly on this sort of programming, was just showing reruns on a program about Houdini and his brother's rivalry with him. Yet again, it's You Tube to the rescue with the famous "I have a Dream" speech.
     Well, that's all I've got for now, save for work related stuff. But if I've learned anything it's that talking about work at any point online is a dangerous proposition. That's what friends and private conversations are for.
