I think I first started seeing all this year's "holiday" decorations going up about 2 weeks before Halloween. I was at first just a little annoyed, but then when I had trouble finding discount after-Halloweeen candy because they already had the Christmas chocolates out, I was starting to get mad. Now Old Navy is running its Christmas ads that not only remind us that Christmas is coming earlier and earlier, it goes so far as to blame us for procrastinating last year. Basically, all the stores had a shitty season last year because the economy is in the shitter, and they're taking it out on us by ruining Christmas even more. It's like they're saying "so you like Christmas? Find, buy more stuff and we won't fuck it up for you this year."
     Seriously, I like Christmas and all, but not for 2 sustained months. I'm gonna be sick of it by Thanksgiving. Thankfully, though, with all this talk of Christmas, Thanksgiving will be like some big weird surprise.
     Also, the week after that I get to move into the new apartment. It has heat! And nice carpeting! And a microwave with a real timer on it! w0000t
     At any rate, I'm gonna get to bed now. Gotta wake up for work tomorrow. I've been working on some programming in OpenGL, maybe some stuff I'll upload later. There's some lighting stuff that would've probably been very simple if I hadn't been avoiding extensions, and some collision detection that I can use to make a game. Still needs some tinkering, though.
