Pie2k has gone from your run-of-the-mill webcomic to an rolicking adventure in epic failure. In 2007 I managed to post a whopping two comics. I say that as "two" instead of "2" that way I can use more letters than there were actual comics. If it weren't for that Karl Rove strip, then the last comic would've been the Tiramisu strip, which was posted exactly one year ago on Martin Luther King Jr.'s birthday.
I don't really want to say anything more about how much I haven't been updating so I'm just going to leave it like that. Since you probably won't see it many other places, I'll post it up like I did last year: Dr. King's famous "I have a dream" speech on YouTube.
And when you get done with that you can check out this awesome video of the Top Gear guys and the Peel P50.
All sorts of stuff has happened in the last year for me to cover, both at home and in the news. At home I've got a new job and Beth and I have moved in together. In the news there's a Presidential Primary season and all sorts of craziness in video games. One thing is blatantly clear though ... if I don't change the way I approach Pie2k completely then I'm likely to slip into another period of hibernation. I'm just not interested in doing the same comic I've been doing for seven years now. Most of the webcomics I started out loving when I started Pie2k have come and gone. The ones that have remained have changed their focus or their format dramatically over the years.
Things are going to need to change around here or else I'm going to lose interest again. I'll try to keep the strips coming, but I'm going to need to take some time and figure out what changes I'm going to make and how.
