Yet another long posting drought. I really should get back on a schedule, but I seem to keep letting it slip regardless of my good intentions. It's only logical then that the only thing I have to draw about is the fact that I never draw anything.
     At any rate, it's been about a month since E3, and the summer video game news outage has begun. Game companies put everything they've got into E3, and as a result the rest of the summer lacks any sort of video game news whatsoever. Well, maybe not totally lacks... there's plenty of state legislators out there trying to get bills passed to ban games in some form or another. And there's a new study out that insists that in children 7-9 years old, extremely violent games cause violent attitudes within extremely short time-spans after a gaming session. So, let me get this one straight... if you take an 8 year old, place him in front of a violent game intended for an 18 year old, he's going to be slightly more violent in attitude immediately after playing, but not 10 minutes later? There are so many problems with this that I don't know where to start, but in the end all I'm left with is this notion that if you look at the study for more than a minute, it actually ends up absoving video games of causing violence (since all reported incidents of game-caused violence happen hours, if not days, after playing a game).
So I'm not going to promise any other updates today... Every time I do I end up delaying a month to a month and a half before the next update. This time I'll just say that I'll get to it when I get to it (but I hope that that's soon).
