I think this has been, by far, my longest dry spell between comics. In case you don't want to do the math, it's been about 2 1/2 months. I wish I could say that there was some legitimate reason that I had been so lax in updating. The reality is that I've gotten out of the habit, and reasonably lazy on top of that.
     Another problem is that even though I've had no lack of funny things happening to me in the last few months, none of them really make the jump to comic strip form very well. Sure, Oscar attacking Murphy is hilarious, but it doesn't exactly have a punchline. I think I might make a significant change in the way I write the strips and basically take a lot of the autobiographical aspect out of it. It's relatively easy to come up with some one-liner gags based on current events, but it's a little harder to shoe-horn those jokes into real people's mouths.
     Anyhow, I think I might start off this non-autobiographical mode for Pie2k with some Monkey & Skylar adventures. Just some goofy stuff to get me back into the habit and all. At any rate, it's 2 AM now and I have work in the morning. Signing off for now ...
