It's about God damned time, isn't it? I would like to say that I've been insanely busy, and that's why I haven't gotten one up in, oh, say, almost exactly a month, but that's just not entirely true. Now, yeah, I have been a whole lot of busy recently. I've had a couple of programming projects from OOP, OPL, and MFC (don't you just love acronyms?), plus I'm 20 pages short of 4 novels so far for Feminist Science Fiction, not to mention the slew of short stories. Homework has been a real killer this semester, but all in all, it's been relatively manageable.
The real culprit has been, of course, video games. This semester I was introduced to Chris Rasa, who has a shitload of SNK games that I've never played before. He brings them over and I think I lost like a day or two to Cool Cool Toon alone. On top of that, Mike Picciotoli gave me a working 3DO. Not just a 3DO, a working "Panasonic R*E*A*L 3DO," the first version of 3DO on the market. It's a work of beauty. Then Kurt and Rasa procured a bunch of 3DO games and Bill got Mario Sunshine. Video games attacking from all sides!
And the ultimate evidence of this, of course, is Pie2k, which has gone far too long without an update, and when I finally do, it's woefully out of date. (I haven't played either Cool Cool Toon or Mario Sunshine in a week or two... right now I'm utterly fucking obsessed with Star Fox Advetures). Well, I think it's time for me to end this rant. It's been one hell of a semester. Yeah... I know it's only October, but it's been one hell of a semester already. And it doesn't look like it's gonna let up any time soon.
