Rant show/hide

And somehow I manage to pull a gimmick out of my total lack of gimmick. w00t! Anyhow, I wanna say "hi!" to Alex who started coming to this site after following a link on MacHall (don't think I went and got famous on you all,... they put up everyone who bothered to submit). Alex is a big webcomic fan, indicated by the list he keeps in his links section over at http://www.angelfire.com/freak/ahc69/. Also, he is a talented artist, and he said something most "artists" wouldn't say. "I was focusing on figure drawing (as in body positions and how they would look, not nude drawings I mean, come on, there were 5-10 year olds at the camp :Þ)." w00t! A non-pedophile reads my site! Not only that, but an artist who realizes he still has much to learn.
The reason I bring that up is that in his e-mail he mentioned the issue of character design continuity. Admittedly, Pie2k has a few issues. One is that my style changes drastically depending on my mood, what I had for dinner, lunar orbit cylcles, and the weather. No character ever looks quite the same twice anywhere in the history of Pie2k. To quote Kelly "Damn, my brests look really big in that pannel."
The second issue is that the characters often look very alike. Bill and Larry looked similar (sans glasses). Jeremy and Bill looked the same when they were first introduced (though I am slowly remedying that). But that's how my friends look, pretty normal. Maybe I'll hammer down some character sheets, get some specific looks down on paper for reference... make notes... look professional. Simply put, the character continuity issue is one of the most difficult ones I've seen... and one I avoid like the plague or even an abortion debate.
Anyway, thanks again for the correspondence Alex, I always welcome it. And that goes for everyone else, too. Drop me a line if you're reading, I'd like to know your thoughts. And, as I'm not telepathic, nor Tyler Durden, I will have to rely on e-mail to get into your head.
