Riding in the car with D.J. is always an adventure. So, when my little brother calls up and says we're going on a road trip to Vermont to see my dad and older brother Shawn, I knew I'd be in for quite a ride.
     D.J. drives a used '95 Oldsmobile Achieva a car with a 15 gallon gas tank that weighs about 45 tons. So, his great plan to conserve gas consisted of refusing to brake, and gunning it downhill so that he could coast back up the other side. Alll and all, this strategy was working well, until we hit Vermont. In Vermont, our hills amount to little mor than speed bumps. We'd end up swooping down the side of a mountain at a hundred and ten miles an hour and then when we got back up to the crest of the next hill, we were back down to 50.
     In the end, though, we made it from New Jersey to Vermont in about 45 or 50 gallons of gas. I have no idea wether that's good or bad... but at least gas is cheap in Vermont.
