Okay, it's back to school time... and unfortunately, that means moving into a new apartment. This would actually be a cause for celebration, except that I don't think I'll have an internet (or even internal network) connection. That means that, although I'll try to keep some fairly constant updates going... but I won't be able to post them if I can't get my connection going.
     Now, you may be asking yourself "why won't you have a network connection?" Let's put it like this... the apartments I'm moving into weren't wired last year. The goal for CCIS is to have a "phone and network connection for each pillow." Of course, since admissions decided to severely over-book our on-campus housing this year, causing the school to triple-book a bunch of 2-person rooms, there was no way they'd do it this year (as the over booking is supposed to be temporary). But that also meant that they had to dig trenches over to the apartments to lay fiber cable, and then run ethernet throughout each building... at a snails pace. That's right, they were supposed to trench the apartments in June, but they started in late July. Last year, when Maple (the new dorm) was supposed to have its connections up by September, they were still waiting in October.
     At any rate, hopefully I'll find a way to upload the stuff I'm working on instead of just letting it stagnate on my HDD until I get a connection. Maybe this would be a good time to invest in a floppy drive.....
