I know I've been psychotically delinquent. I'm really sorry, and I hope to have a few strips up soon. Meaning... I hope to have a few strips drawn by me up soon. Larry and Rasa may be some of the most dedicated fans out there, but I can't exactly let them take over. :P
So you know, I haven't totally been wasting my time. I've been trying to get the Sci-Fi Club up and running to the best of my abilities while keeping up with class and work. Also I'm trying to put the final touches on my Senior Project so that I can graduate. When I can, I will post a bunch of the things I've been working on. I'll list a few of them here so that I'll remember later.
I just got done with a bunch of side programming projects I've been meaning to do for a while. First, I got my vector math stuff almost complete. It's got a tiny correction left (right now transformations are applied in the proper order. I want them applied backwards so that I'll be completely compatable with OpenGL. I don't know why they do it backwards, but I don't wanna buck the standard.) Using that, I was able to put together a nice little gloss-map demonstration. I use the vector math stuff to determine the gloss intensity per vertex and then OpenGL blending to apply a gloss map over a texture map. I also did some programming for Sci-Fi Club Webpage. The member database is now all parsed in real-time by a php script. I wrote an MFC front-end for editing the database and I'll be posting that soon, though probably without code. My MFC stuff is completely uncommented and not very good... but the final result is pretty reasonable. I've also been working on a bunch of Photoshop art I have to present tomorrow in class. After I finish it all, I will post it in the Other Projects section.
And on top of that, we're redesigning the main web pages in the Ramapo College Website at work, as well as adding a Prospective Students section. It's a ton of work, and it's coming out pretty well. Also, there's been the myriad of miscelanea at work to keep me busy in between those projects.
As far as classes go, Linear Algebra is shaping up to be pretty easy. I dig math, and get it pretty well, so I'm doing okay there. Still lacking a graphing calculator, but that's another story. The 2 classes I have to worry about are The Unix Environment, where the professor is completely worthless and I'm gonna end up learning this stuff off Linux script-kiddie sites, and Intermediate Computer Art, which I continually under-estimate and because of that I have 6 montages due tomorrow in hard-copy form. D'OH! I have good paper, but I have to finish 4 of the images and find some time/place to print the work. Oh well, I guess tomorrow's gonna be another busy day.
