This Sonic game is giving me plenty of material here. The idea of it is just so absurd. You take a speedy platformer like Sonic and turn it into a western-style, walking, talking, inventory-managing RPG and it's clearly fair game for mockery.
     The march of absurdity continues at work. Today I was jumping back and forth between Flash and COBOL. These of course were two different projects ... but the sad fact is that with enough intermediaries I could actually get the two working together. It's within the realm of possibility that I could take this COBOL program, output course requirements, and then use PHP to generate XML and pull them into Flash. It's amazing to think about the fact that it's completely possible. It would just be incredibly stupid.
     I hope I'll be back later this week or early next week with another strip. I'm glad that I've managed to get a few done in a short amount of time again. I don't want to say that I'm back to a schedule, though. I wouldn't want to jinx it.
