Hey everybody... this is just a really quick post. Hopefully I'll be able to get my Otakon 2005 photos up later tonight.
     Otakon was freaking sweet, and having Beth along really made it even cooler. I think that I'm going to start putting money away for Otakon next year starting as soon as possible. Of course, that means putting away money for a car first. I drove most of the way home in Kurt's car this year and found out that I'm pretty decent with long driving sessions. My sense of navigation is pretty sucky, but I felt okay after the trip and really didn't get very frustrated or annoyed. I think it would be nice to drive down next year in my own car. I also wouldn't mind being in a hotel room with just Beth,... but that's probably a luxury I won't be able to afford. I guess I'll reassess my savings in November and let Bill know (since he usually does all the Otakon booking).
     I realized this year that large groups are just a little to unwieldy at Otakon. Once you get up to around 6 or 7, navigating most of the hallways, the dealers' room, and the artists' alley become largely impassible. There's always someone stopped to look at something, and if you're that person, you feel bad about holding up the group, and everyone in the group feels bad about rushing you. That's when you've gotta say "the two of us are headed over there, ... meet us later." It was pretty cool hitting up Fuddruckers as a group of like 9, but we couldn't find a table together and we had a really hard time getting there (especially maneuvering 9 people around a closed sidewalk).
     Anyhow, time to go over to the laptop, watch daily show, and edit photos for posting online.
