It looks like Ed is becoming a very regular character in Pie2k (or at least as regular as anyone could be in a comic so infrequently updated). For anyone else whom I've known for a long time that would be jealous, keep in mind that Ed's showing up a lot because he's fucking crazy. I say that in the most loving way.
     At any rate, I got my car insurance & registration and I've got the Omni on the road. I would make some sort of snyde remark about me driving like a madman, but Mr. Muller told me to treat it gently when I bought it, so I actually have been driving it fairly conservatively. The only thing that I would say is dangerous about it at all is that I really should bring it to a mechanic for a quick check-up. Mr. Muller took it in right before I received it, and it's been about 3 months since then, and it couldn't hurt to have a mechanic take a look (or a listen for that matter).
     I'll just have to reserve my crazy racing skills for Virtua Racing. As much as I thought to myself that Kurt getting a Japanese PS2 was a bit of a waste (considering that I already have a US one in the living room), I do so love playing the 3D Ages version of Virtua Racing. It's soooooo close to the arcade version, it fucking rocks. It's even got a little extra graphic flair to it (the cars have a bit of reflection mapping, there's a higher polygon count overall, and the 3D objects actually cast shadows). The newer tracks are pretty decent, but I miss the desert level from Virtua Racing Deluxe on the 32X.
     I'm a little enthused also because I get an oversized paycheck tomorrow. My savings took a huge hit recently when I shelled out 3 month's worth of car insurance at once, but only about 15 days later it's starting to look a lot better. I'm hoping that I'll be able to get the savings up to 2 grand by the time the next insurance payment is due. That'll be my goal... now let's see if I can meet it.
