Hey from Jackson. I had a long rant ready to go with this, but I think I'm gonna put it aside for now. Some of you know why already, and if you don't, don't worry about it too much.
. . . . [Edited 1:08 AM 2/4/2004 ] . . . .
I have a job interview Wednesday, a very prommissing one. It should carry with it a pretty decent salary, reasonable hours, and the chance to get the oh-so-rare "experience" that employers look for. Also, it's tech support for proprietary software, so there shouldn't be any way any of the other candidates have the edge over me in this one.
Work at Wawa is going okay. I'm not making very large pay, but I'm pulling in an honest day's work. And the people who work there are actually really cool. This week I've got an afternoon, a morning, and a midnight shift, and that's gonna suck, but at least the midnight shift is with two very cool folks.
There are some other good things going my way, too, and hopefully I can really turn things around soon. We'll see. This job would be a big first step, and I'm keeping my sights set on that interview, as it's pretty much the most important thing for me right now. Not that work tomorrow isn't important or anything. I actually found out that I've been giving people the "reduced" prices for baked goods in the wrong time frames, and that my shift has been ignoring one of our daily duties and we got called out on it. Nobody seemed too pissed, and those are two things I'll be paying closer attention to tomorrow.
