Welcome to the strip Beth! Now quit bugging me about it! Seriously, though, it's great having Beth as a girlfriend. I mean... how many of you guys can claim a girlfriend so tolerant as to say what basically amounts to "I want you to draw me in a hasty way that makes me look like a violent muppet?" Yeah.... I sure am lucky. :)
I had something to rant about here, a minorly annoying happening, but I've decided to ignore it and hope it'll just go away. As much as I've become more outspoken over the years, I still find myself unwilling to burn bridges... even bridges that cross into unwelcome territory. There are people I really wanna tell off, but I never get up the nerve. If I don't like someone, that's fine, but that's no reason for me to make them my enemy.
I realize that was extremely general, but you're not supposed to get it, unless I've already talked to you about what's actually going on. So, I'll update you all on something you know about... Sir Gawain. We finally got to it today and my group had to cover the section about Sir Gawain's garments and what they might symbolize. Well, I'm very visual minded, so I had to draw a picture of Sir-Gawain and place the garments on him and label them all. And I got caught drawing in class.... in a good way, though. Piltch took my scribble (and trust me, it was pure doodling) and put it up on the projector (curses to whoever invented digital overheads!). She also confiscated my drawing, in a good way. She wanted to use it as a visual aid for her later class. So, I got to finish drawing this Pie2k in class without questioning. :)
I'm realizing that, despite her deadpan delivery, Piltch is probably the funniest teacher I have right now. I'll give you a few examples of her Yogi-Berra-like charm. "C'mon everybody... wake up. You're not allowed to be half-asleep... 'cause I am.", "By popular demand, we won't be watching the last scene of Oedipus... also I left it at home.", and "I do not lose papers, but sometimes its possible for them to move into another pile." So, if any of you haven't taken Readings in Humanities yet, I reccommend Piltch... easy class + funny teacher = good stuff.
And in extra-special-happy news, Beth and I have been going out for a little over a month! w0000000000000t! As you can tell, this makes me very happy.
Well, I'm gonna end this rant now and maybe get some stuff done for senior project. I downloaded the arcade rom for Puzzle Fighter and I realize that some of the things I worried about, Capcom didn't. It really seems like I'm on the same track as they took to do the main game logic, including my really screwed up (real_height + drop_timeout) method. I hope I can get that part done soon... then I can concentrate on character design and stuff. :)
