Okay, so I know a lot of you are going to be mad that Kelly got in the comic before you, but I'll explain in the next comic why she deserves it. Let's just say that she helped me out big-time on Sunday, and this gesture is an attempt to repay her.
For those of you who don't know Kelly (but then again, who reads this and doesn't know Kelly? Maybe Jon, or DJ? That's about it.), she has a knack for freaking out when she has an error she can't find in her C++ assignments. And then she goes into Super Kelly Panic Exaggeration Mode®. A scary thing, I assure you, as you start to believe that were she ever to fail a single assignment, the world would come crumbling down.
And as much as I make fun of her for it, and I like to poke fun, she does have probably the best work-ethic I've ever seen. I mean, although she panics a lot, it's far preferable to the alternative. Imagine if she just got a fatal error, and then threw the program out the window and didn't care about the consequences. She'd have failed out of school a long time ago. So it's a trade off, really, good grades vs. neurosis. I guess we all make that choice, and to be quite honest, I can't think of a single Comp-Sci major who isn't at least a little neurotic and paranoid. I think it just comes with the territory.
Let's just hope it doesn't come with the job, also.
